Aquarium Announces Ocean Conservation Award Recipients to Be Honored at Its Blue Whale Gala

The Aquarium of the Pacific will host its black-tie Blue Whale Gala on Saturday, June 9, 2018. During the gala, the Aquarium will honor Betty White and Francisco J. Ayala, Ph.D., with the prestigious Ocean Conservation Award. The award honors individuals, groups, or institutions for significant contributions to ocean conservation and environmental education.

Attendees of the elegant event will be greeted with cocktails overlooking Long Beach’s picturesque Rainbow Harbor. A gourmet dinner will be served beneath the majestic blue whale in the Aquarium’s Great Hall. Attendees will also be treated to dessert and a night of dancing under the stars. Proceeds benefit the nonprofit Aquarium’s ocean conservation and education initiatives.

When: Saturday, June 9, 2018, from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Cost: SOLD OUT. $500 per seat, and advance reservations are required (online reservations are not available for this event). Complimentary valet parking will be available.
