Otter on Back Swimming

Thank you for supporting conservation at your Aquarium!

This winter, over $31,000 was raised by 154 donors to support the Aquarium of the Pacific. In partnership with the Monterey Bay Aquarium Sea Otter Surrogacy Program, orphaned otter pups are paired with adult female otters to provide maternal care and teach the pup skills needed to survive in the wild. Those pups will then be returned to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and be released to join the wild population living off the coast of central California.

These donations help fund food for the otters, who together eat approximately 90 pounds of seafood each day! Gifts also fund transportation, around-the-clock monitoring, clean habitats, and more.

Thank you for supporting these efforts to give sea otter pups a second chance.
