High Tide Student Film Festival Launch

SoCal students in grades 9-12 are invited to submit short films for the chance to win cash prizes and be featured in the Aquarium’s High Tide Student Film Festival

Photo Exhibit Showcases Marine Life in Local Tide Pools

An exhibit of photographs by Patsee Ober will be on view at the Aquarium from March 16 to May 16, 2020. Ober will give a talk about her process, equipment, and inspiration in creating the photos on the evening of March 16.

Massive Sea Urchin Sculpture Installed on Aquarium’s Front Plaza

The Aquarium unveiled a new art installation on its front plaza on November 27. The sea urchin sculpture with spines that light up at night will be outside the Aquarium until May 2020.

For her One Artist Five Oceans project, Danielle Eubank has sailed and painted all of the oceans on the planet. Her artwork will be on view at the Aquarium November 5 to January 5.

A photography exhibit by National Geographic photographer Brian Skerry will be on display at the Aquarium from October 8 through December 8, 2018. It features photographs of aquaculture or seafood farming practices from around the world.

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Aquarium held an art contest presented by JetBlue throughout the summer of 2018. The top twenty entrants were selected to win a round-trip flight on JetBlue.
