In this episode of Coastal Conversations, Aquarium President and CEO Jerry Schubel talks with Dr. Douglas McCauley, a biologist with expertise in extinctions on land and in the ocean.

McCauley is a professor at University of California, Santa Barbara. His research on the future of ocean wildlife has been featured in the New York Times, on National Public Radio, and in Time. He has researched topics ranging from manta rays and bumphead parrotfish to pirates and fish spying satellites. He is a Sloan Research Fellow in the Ocean Sciences.
