Join the Aquarium of the Pacific this summer as we document California’s coastal biodiversity.

Join us any time on Saturday, June 20 between 7:00 am – 12:00 pm PST as we take photos to add data to the iNaturalist app. All photos taken in the survey area will be automatically uploaded to the 2026 Pelican Cove- MPA Wildlife Survey.

Note:

• All ages of volunteers are welcome.
• Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Please be advised that there is some physicality to this event, including walking over large rocks and uneven surfaces as well as walking up and down a large hill to get to the survey site.

What to bring:

Please bring a camera or smartphone to collect data, sturdy and waterproof covered shoes, reusable water bottle water, sun protection such as long sleeves/hat/sunglasses, and sunscreen.
