The High Tide Festival, presented by Dr. Allen and Charlotte Ginsburg, encourages Southern California high school students in ninth to twelfth grade to explore the ocean through creative visual storytelling. Individuals or small teams of up to four participants were challenged to create short films (videos) up to three minutes long on one of three topics: Ocean and Culture, Ocean and Food, or Ocean and Sports.

Watch the premiere of these short films during the live stream broadcast of the Aquarium’s High Tide Film Festival screening and award ceremony. Cash prizes will be awarded to nine winners in each of the three categories: $2,000 for the Gold Award, $1,500 for the Silver Award, and $1,000 for the Bronze Award. The Aquarium will also announce Staff Pick winners and celebrate the student filmmakers at the event.
