Learn about the animals, see shark exhibits and shark jaws, help with food preparation, visit the exhibit, and interact with sharks.

This one-hour experience will lead the guests through exciting behind the scenes areas. Guests will learn about what it takes to care for and feed the many different types of sharks that call the Aquarium of the Pacific home.


Shark Encounters are now available for ages 10 and up, and there are no height restrictions.

  • Guests on this tour must wear closed-toed shoes.

    Once you have booked your Animal Encounter, please have each paying participant complete the waiver and release form and bring it with you on the date of your encounter.

    Ages
    Guests must be at least 10 years of age to participate. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

    The Shark and Penguin Encounters offer special options for those with accessibility needs. Service animals may not be present at behind-the-scenes animal encounters. In order that our guests with disabilities may enjoy the Aquarium to the fullest, Aquarium staff members will be made available to hold/walk or kennel the service animal while other Aquarium staff accompany the guest through the tour/exhibit.
