Ocean Habitats Grades K-2nd
How does kelp grow? Is coral an animal? Explore different types of ocean habitats while making observations and learning what makes kelp forests and coral reefs special and different.
Let our fun characters Captain Joe and Scuba Shara introduce these habitats and encourage students to be explorers. Lesson plans offer prompts to encourage student questions based on animal observations. Using our Tropical Pacific and Blue Cavern live webcams students will compare and contrast the animals that live in these unique marine habitats. Provided worksheets can be used with the webcam observations to encourage participation and check for understanding.
