What’s New for Winter 2024?

Have you seen the new juvenile Queensland grouper yet? Read about it in this issue and check it out in Tropical Reef. Also, some of our sharks have been on the move. Two juvenile zebra sharks are adapting to their new home in Tropical Reef and our leopard shark has returned to Casino Point in the Southern California Gallery.

The Aquarium has some upcoming events worth noting on the calendar. Later this month in February, the African American Festival is back for its twenty-second annual year on February 24 and 25. This weekend festival features presentations, including storytelling, drum circles, live bands, and dance performances. Next month in March, there will be an Autism Night on March 10 and Noche de Estrellas featuring live Latin music and dancing will be on March 15.

On select weekends, the Big Fish Little Fish program is great for adults and children ages 3 to 6 to explore the underwater world. Check the website for the upcoming dates.
