The Aquarium of the Pacific is a place where you can connect with nature and learn about the issues facing our ocean in many ways. Now visitors to the Aquarium can explore more than a dozen pieces of artwork from a collection called Printed Oceans, displayed on the second floor between the exit of our Northern Pacific Gallery and the entrance to our Tropical Pacific Gallery. The display will be up through November 14, 2025.

This curated art is part of an initiative from PangeaSeed that uses visual storytelling to raise awareness about urgent ocean issues. Since 2012 they have released more than 350 limited-edition prints that highlight marine conservation themes. This supports artists who share their mission of bridging art and science to increase ocean literacy worldwide with the aim of “creating critical dialogue and inspiring positive action for ocean conservation.”

The topics conveyed in the art installation include marine biodiversity, sea level rise, coastal development, marine stewardship, overfishing, coral bleaching, climate change, and pollution. Guests can see how each artist uses their medium to tell these stories.
