Aquarium of the Podcific

The Aquarium's podcast to connect our community to the Aquarium and our ocean planet.

Aquarium of the Podcific is hosted by Madeline Walden, the Aquarium’s digital content and community manager, and Erin Lundy, manager of conservation initiatives. Each episode, they sit down with the scientists, veterinarians, conservationists, creatives, and staff members who make the Aquarium’s work possible to learn alongside them and share the stories that don’t always make it onto a sign or a social media post.

The show has covered sea turtle releases, axolotls, coral conservation, the mountain yellow-legged frog recovery program, penguin soap operas, and what it is like to release a three-flippered sea turtle named Porkchop back into the San Gabriel River.

Erin Lundy is the Manager of Conservation Initiatives at the Aquarium of the Pacific, where she works on the programs and partnerships that help bring species back from the brink. She co-hosts Aquarium of the Podcific because conservation is her full-time job, and she never gets tired of talking about it.

Madeline Walden is the Digital Content and Community Manager at the Aquarium of the Pacific, where she oversees the Aquarium’s social media presence across platforms. A Long Beach native and self-described connector, she co-hosts Aquarium of the Podcific because she gets to spend an hour talking about animals with people who love them just as much as she does.
