All guests ages two and over are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth at all times. The Aquarium requires both vaccinated and unvaccinated guests and staff to wear a mask both indoors and outdoors.
Guests who are unable to wear a mask for medical reasons may request an exemption by presenting a letter from a doctor. Guests may temporarily remove their masks when eating while sitting six feet from others outside of their household. All masks must be at least two layers, not have vents or valves, and scarfs, bandanas, and gaiters are not allowed. Those who have received the COVID-19 vaccine must still wear a mask and follow all safety protocols. Those who do not follow this policy will be asked to leave.
Visitors who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as sore throat, cough, shortness of breath, fever, or recent loss taste or smell are asked to visit another time.
Everyone must follow all posted signs and directions from staff and other safety protocols.
We are not able to store guest items at this time.
Numerous hand sanitizing stations will be located throughout the Aquarium and near any touch area. We ask that everyone use them after touching a surface.
Aquarium staff will be constantly sanitizing all touched surfaces throughout the day.
Touchless water bottle refill stations will be available.
Several programs will be on hiatus.
Shows, mascot appearances, and behind-the-scenes tours are temporarily suspended. Please check back for updates on re-openings.
Additional protocols may be added or amended. Those who do not follow the safety protocols are subject to removal.
By purchasing a ticket, making a reservation and/or entering the Aquarium of the Pacific, you agree to hold harmless the Aquarium of the Pacific, its staff, Board of Directors, and the City of Long Beach from any resulting injuries, illnesses, or other inherent risks to you and your family, including potential exposure to COVID-19.
