Photographers Night Photo Contest

Rules & Regulations

1. Introduction: The Aquarium of the Pacific is offering the Photographers Night Photo Contest. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE DOES NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

2. Timing: Contest begins at 10:00:01 a.m. Pacific Standard Time on Monday, October 2, 2023 and ends at 11:59:29a.m. Pacific Time on Monday, October 30, 2023. Contest open to residents of the fifty (50) United States and territories, and the District of Columbia. Employees, volunteers, and board members of the Aquarium of the Pacific or the prize sponsors, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and their family/household members are not eligible to enter.

3. How to enter: Submit the online form on this page with all required fields and upload an image file(jpg). Typographical errors may disqualify an entry and are the sole responsibility of entrant. All photos must have been taken inside or outside the Aquarium of the Pacific on the designated Photographers Night (October 1, 2023). By entering a photo you are agreeing that you have full rights to the photo and permission from all those pictured to enter this contest.

4. Selection: This contest will have one (1) selection andthree (3) winners. The entrants selected as the potential winners must comply with all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all such requirements. The potential winners will be selected according to which photographs the judges choose as favorites from all entries received on or before the entry deadline. The selection will be on or about Monday, November 13, 2023, by Aquarium of the Pacific staff and event participants, whose decisions are finaland binding in all matters relating to the Contest. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Potential winners will be notified by e-mail on or about November 13, 2023. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within fourteen (14) days after the first attempt to contact such potential winner, an alternate entrant will be selected in his or her place from all entries received in the category from which the original winner was selected.

5. Prizes: Aquarium Behind the Scenes tour for four (general admission included), 16x20 gallery print of their winning photograph printed by and courtesy of Tuttle Cameras, and an Aquarium gift set; Runner Up package: Four general admission tickets to visit the Aquarium, 16x20 gallery print of their winning photograph printed by and courtesy of Tuttle Cameras, and an Aquarium gift set; Third Place: Two general admission tickets to visit the Aquarium, 16x20 gallery print of their winning photograph printed by and courtesy of Tuttle Cameras, and an Aquarium gift set.

6. Other terms and conditions: If any prize is returned as non-deliverable, the potential winner will be disqualified and another winner selected in the place of the disqualified person from entries received. Entry constitutes permission to use the winner’s name, photograph (including entry), likeness, and city and state of residence for purposes of trade, publicity or promotion without further consideration and for no additional compensation. All entrants release to Aquarium of the Pacific, their affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees and agents, and all others associated with the development and execution of this contest, from any and all liability from injury, loss or damage of any kind, including death, and property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, resulting from participation in this promotion or acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

7. License: By entering the Contest, you hereby grant your permission for the Aquarium of the Pacific to use your name, photograph, likeness, and city and state of residence for purposesof trade, publicity or promotion without further consideration and for no additional compensation. Further, by entering the Contest, you hereby (i) represent to the Aquarium of the Pacific that you own all rights, title and interest in and to the photograph submitted with your entry and (ii) grant the Aquarium of the Pacific (and those authorized by us) a world-wide, royalty-free, perpetual and non-exclusive license to publicly display, reproduce, distribute, and create derivative works of the photograph submitted with your entry, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or later developed, for any Aquarium of the Pacific purpose, including, but not limited to, advertising and promotion, exhibition, and commercial products. Any photograph reproduced will include a photographer credit as feasible.The Aquarium of the Pacificwill not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with any such uses of the photograph submitted with your entry.

8. Winners list: A complete list of prize winners will be available onhttp://aquariumofpacific.org/ on or about November 6, 2023.

9. Sponsor: The Sponsor of this contest is Aquarium of the Pacific whose address is 100 Aquarium Way, Long Beach, CA 90802.
