ArtsSeptember 22, 2008Eight Aquarium of the Pacific Students Win National Coastal America Ocean Art ContestIn an event today the Aquarium of the Pacific announced that eight of its students are among the 20 national winners of the Coastal America Ocean Art Contest. The students were among thousands across the country who participated in the competition on the importance of the ocean. The first and second place students will fly to a special ceremony in Washington, D.C. on September 26 and the art of all eight students will be in a four-month exhibition at the National Museum of Natural History. Reproductions of their winning artwork will also be on display at the Aquarium of the Pacific through December 31, 2008. |
