Feed a penguin!

Animal Encounter: Penguin

This experience will lead the guests through the Aquarium on a guided tour of many of our most exciting behind-the-scenes areas. Guests will learn about what it takes to care for and feed the more than 11,000 animals at the Aquarium of the Pacific and will even assist in feedings at a couple of our holding areas or at an exhibit.

After the tour we will meet with husbandry staff members who will guide the group through food preparation for the June Keyes Penguin Habitat. Finally, we will enter the behind-the-scenes area of the habitat with a penguin and participate in a feeding and training session.

Please note: Guests on this tour must wear closed-toed shoes.

Breeding Season

Penguin encounters will be on hold March 1 through July 11, 2013 during their breeding and egg laying season to minimize any possible disruptions to our birds. Thank you for your understanding.
