The Education Technology and Media intern is responsible assisting with the technology and audio visual needs of the Aquarium’s Education department and A/V department. In addition to the required experience, the successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills, and be able to function successfully when given independent assignments, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Commitment: The minimum hour requirement is 18 hours a week with a focus on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The daily hours will depend on program bookings.
EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY AND MEDIA INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Operate audio, visual and technical equipment during videoconference programs
- Maintain and update still image and video footage database
- Assist in editing and building new videoconferencing programs
- Work with A/V department on an as needed basis editing, creating signage and maintaining equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education Technology or media related field AND/OR working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in film, video production or related field
- Interest in or experience with marine science preferred but not required
- Experience working in Education preferred
- Experience working with videoconferencing equipment preferred
- Experience in broadcast productions preferred but not required

- Proficient in Macintosh environments
- Beginning to intermediate level experience in non-linear video editing. Final Cut Pro experience preferred but not required
