2019 Photographers Night Photo Contest Winners

The Aquarium’s 11th annual Photographers Night was held in October, and guests were invited to enjoy an evening of workshops, free equipment rentals, and demonstrations.

Participants in our annual event were invited to share their results for this contest. Here are the winners.

Aquarium Presents Art Exhibit, Ocean Resiliency: The Expeditions of Danielle Eubank

The Aquarium will display art by painter Danielle Eubank resulting from her twenty-year quest to capture all the world’s oceans.

For her One Artist Five Oceans project, Danielle Eubank has sailed and painted all of the oceans on the planet. Her artwork will be on view at the Aquarium November 5 to January 5.

Aquarium Debuts National Geographic Photographer’s Exhibit on Aquaculture

A photography exhibit by National Geographic photographer Brian Skerry will be on display at the Aquarium from October 8 through December 8, 2018. It features photographs of aquaculture or seafood farming practices from around the world.

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Aquarium held an art contest presented by JetBlue throughout the summer of 2018. The top twenty entrants were selected to win a round-trip flight on JetBlue.

Aquarium Challenges Design Students to Develop Coastal Resiliency Exhibits

The Aquarium has partnered with the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California, for nearly a decade. In 2016 the two partner institutions were awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to develop projects focusing on climate change and coastal resiliency.
