In our last program we explored the problem of sea level rise and coastal flooding, a condition that nearly all of the nations’ ocean coastal areas face to varying degrees. In this episode, we are focusing on the Great Lakes, where lake levels are are falling and may continue to fall as a result of climate change. Falling lake levels have many implications—economic and environmental.

Guests on this episode include Roger Germann, executive vice president of the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, and Dr. Drew Gronewold, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Great Lakes Environmental Research Lab (GLERL) in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Aquarium President and CEO Jerry Schubel moderates the discussion.
