The Aquarium is miles away from New Orleans but that won’t stop us from throwing a huge Mardi Gras celebration for our members (ages 21 and over)!

Dress up and dance the night away to jazzy tunes played by our live band in the Great Hall or our DJ spinning hit songs from across the decades in the Tropical Pacific Gallery. When you need a break from the dance floor, take part in one of our prom activities, enjoy a cocktail from the cash bar, or wander around the kid-free Aquarium.

Members are encouraged to wear their finest attire whether that’s fancy dresses, tuxes, or other dapper threads!

Invitations to events like Member Prom are part of your membership benefits and are just one of the ways we thank you for your membership support. From the animals that call the Aquarium home, thank you for your membership.

Exhibit lighting will begin to dim at 9:30 p.m. to ensure the animals get a good night’s sleep. All exhibits and galleries will be open with the exception of Lorikeet Forest.
