Aquarium and Partners to Release Endangered White Abalone for the First Time in History
The Aquarium is a founding partner of the White Abalone Recovery Program and has been working with NOAA for the past eleven years on this project.

New Sea Jellies Now on View Were Cultured at the Aquarium
Helvola sea nettles bred at the Aquarium are now on view in the Northern Pacific Gallery. This is the first time an aquarium in the United States has successfully cultured and raised this species.

Massive Sea Urchin Sculpture Installed on Aquarium’s Front Plaza
The Aquarium unveiled a new art installation on its front plaza on November 27. The sea urchin sculpture with spines that light up at night will be outside the Aquarium until May 2020.
