Panel Discussion
Lecture date: March 8, 2018. Panelists discuss what areas of Southern California are at risk for a tsunami, what individuals and business owners can do to prepare, and the science behind tsunamis.
Panelists include Reginald “Reggie” Harrison, the City of Long Beach’s director of the Department of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Communications; Kevin Miller, Tsunami Program lead for the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services; and Rick Wilson, senior engineering geologist with the California Geological Survey. The discussion is moderated by Jerry Schubel, Aquarium of the Pacific president and CEO.
