Digital Membership Cards

The Aquarium does not have any blackout dates. We are closed once a year on Christmas Day (December
25).
Do I need a reservation as a member?
Yes, reservations are often required. To ensure a great experience, we suggest that you make your free member reservation
before each visit.
When does my membership expire?
Your membership becomes active on the date of purchase and is valid for one year from this purchase
date.
What is the membership refund policy?
Memberships are non-refundable, non-transferable, and valid only for the individuals named on the
account.
Is my membership tax-deductible?
The Aquarium of the Pacific is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Your membership may be tax-deductible—we
suggest consulting with your tax advisor.
Please note donor-advised funds cannot be used for memberships where goods/services are provided.
Do you have reciprocal benefits with other aquariums or zoos?
No, the Aquarium of the Pacific does not have any reciprocal benefits with other aquariums or zoos.
Aquarium members have the option to buy a pre-paid parking voucher for 50% off the regular price!
Pre-paid parking vouchers are available for purchase on site at any ticket window. The voucher is
good for three uses.

Drive to the parking structure exit.
Scan your white parking ticket at the exit
When payment is requested, scan your pre-paid parking voucher
When do I get my member card?
Your member card will be issued on site at Member Services during your first visit. If you prefer,
you can download your digital member card via the Member
Portal.
Can someone else use my member card?
Member cards are non-transferable, which means someone else cannot use your card. However, if you
have a Plus level membership, you receive one transferable member card that can be used by anyone,
even if a named cardholder is not present.
What happens if I forget or lose my member card
If you forgot your member card, show your photo ID at Member Services and we can check you in upon
arrival. If you lost your member card, we can reissue your card at Member Services.
If you are a Plus member and lose your transferable member card, it will cost $35 to reissue the
card. If you forgot your transferable member card, you must purchase a ticket for your guest.
What is the Member Portal?
The Member Portal is your one-stop shop for managing your membership. Once logged in, you can
easily:
Access your digital member card(s) for quick entry.
Make member reservations for your next visit.
View your membership details, including your expiration date.
Buy discounted tickets for guests, special Aquarium events, and programs.
How do I create and access my Member Portal account?
Enter your details: Input your member number and last name.
Find your member number: Your member number is on the back of your physical member card, at the
bottom of our emails, or by contacting the membership team
Secure account: Enter your email address, create a password, and verify your details. Click the
button at the bottom to complete registration.
What should I do if I have trouble logging in or get an error?
If you run into any issues creating or accessing your account, please contact our membership team so
we can sort things out.
What is the age limit for kids on my membership?
Your children or grandchildren can stay on your membership until they are 18 years old. Once they
turn 18, they are treated like adults.
To keep them on your membership, you can pay extra to add them as a cardholder or buy them their own
separate membership.
Can my kid use our member card to visit without me?
It depends. Children under 16 must visit with an adult. Children ages 16 and older may visit without
an adult. A valid member card and photo ID (to verify age) may be required for entry.
Can I change the names on my membership?
No, memberships are non-transferable. If you would like to make updates to the names on your
membership, you can do so at the time of renewal. It’s best to call the Membership Office to make
these changes when you renew.
Can I upgrade my membership at any time?
Yes, you can pay the difference at any time during the year and move up to a higher level. Another
option is to pay the full price of the higher level, and we will extend your current expiration date
by 12 months to reflect the full purchase.
Can I upgrade my admission ticket to a membership?
Yes, you can upgrade your tickets by applying the cost of your admission toward membership. Please
note the applicable amount can vary and other restrictions may apply.
My kid’s class is going to the Aquarium for a field trip. Can I use my membership for the field
trip?
No, school field trips are not included in membership benefits. When the field trip is booked, you
must be counted as a participating adult.
