Erin McCombs

Erin McCombs is an education supervisor at the Aquarium with expertise in shark and ray biology and conservation.

McCombs works closely with other aquariums accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums to develop conservation plans to save sharks and rays. She specializes in developing and implementing shark and ray messaging that will drive the public to conservation actions. McCombs also runs the Aquarium’s Global FinPrint community science program, the world’s largest reef shark and ray survey ever conducted. McCombs has a bachelor’s degree in ecology, evolution, and organismal biology from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree in marine and environmental biology from the University of Southern California.
