Russ Parsons, Robert Egger, and Arlin Crane discussed how culinary training coupled with supportive programming can provide new hope for reformed gang members, previously incarcerated men and women, and emancipated foster youth and the communities they live in. Egger is president and founder of L.A. Kitchen, and Crane is director of food and beverage at Homeboy Industries.

The Aquarium of the Pacific’s Seafood for the Future program presents The Future of Food: Second Course, an ongoing series of talks hosted by former Los Angeles Times Food Editor and cookbook author Russ Parsons and featuring experts representing different sectors of the American food system.
