Meet Sharky and Officer Opaleye! These special guests, along with Aquarium educators, will help introduce your students to sharks and whales.

Sharky’s Adventure

Sharks are cool! And the more you know about them, the more amazing they are. Did you know that sharks come in all shapes and sizes and some can be as big as a city bus?

Join Sharky as he goes on an adventure to learn what sharks eat, how they find their food and what their skin feels like in this exciting class. As Sharky explores the world of sharks, students will gain a better appreciation for these magnificent predators!

Ocean Rangers: Marine Mammal Mystery

Join training officer Sergeant Sargo for the adventure of a lifetime.

After learning about marine mammals, students are enlisted by the Sergeant to track a mysterious group of marine mammals along their migration route. Help Sergeant Sargo discover what kinds of mammals make up this strange group of animals and why they are heading down the coast.

Aquarium Exploration Videoconferencing program

Learn about some of the most interesting animals in our collection while virtually touring our Tropical Pacific, Northern Pacific, and Southern California & Baja exhibits with live camera views.

Programs are tailored to be grade specific and include interactive media, games, and time to ask questions. General themes include an introduction to the different habitats of the Pacific Ocean, animal diversity, and adaptations.

Pre/ Post-visit Videoconferencing program

Make a field trip to the Aquarium more memorable for your students!

This virtual classroom experience will encourage students to make meaningful connections between their onsite Aquarium explorations as a pre-visit or post-visit program. Students will virtually visit three galleries; Tropical Pacific, Northern Pacific, and Southern California & Baja through our live camera views. General themes include an introduction to the different habitats of the Pacific Ocean, animal diversity, and adaptations.
