Learn about cephalopods, help with food preparation, visit the exhibit, and interact with an octopus.

This is a one hour experience in which guests will learn about octopuses and how we care for them at the Aquarium of the Pacific.


Octopus Encounters are now available for ages 7 and up, and there are no height restrictions.

  • Guests on this tour must wear closed-toed shoes.

    Once you have booked your Animal Encounter, please have each paying participant complete the waiver and release form and bring it with you on the date of your encounter.

    Ages
    Guests must be at least 7 years of age to participate. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

    Octopus Encounters offer special options for those with accessibility needs. Guests with limited mobility (including guests in standard-sized wheelchairs) are able to participate from the side of the pool. Service animals may not be present at behind-the-scenes animal encounters. In order that our guests with disabilities may enjoy the Aquarium to the fullest, Aquarium staff members will be made available to hold/walk or kennel the service animal while other Aquarium staff accompany the guest through the tour/exhibit.
