The Aquarium offers our visitors both onsite and virtually extensive opportunities to experience the wonders of the ocean and its wildlife.

In addition to providing these learning opportunities the Aquarium of the Pacific staff is dedicated to “greening” this unique facility.

Over the years the Aquarium has increased the size of the institution and its attendance from 1.1 million to 1.6 million yet it has ensured that its environmental footprint has not been jeopardized. Through a series of efforts to curb energy needs, save water, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions the Aquarium has succeeded to keep energy usage at a constant level, reduced water usage by a third, and cut our carbon footprint by 25%.
