Service Learning

At the Aquarium we do our best to provide high school students with opportunities to complete service hours and fulfill their requirements to graduate from high school or earn extra credit. In order to be a participant in this program, students must be in high school and must be ready to come to the Aquarium with an attitude of instilling a sense of wonder, respect, and stewardship for the Pacific Ocean, its inhabitants, and ecosystems.

The service learning program offers students the privilege to volunteer for our special events during the September to June school year.

Some of the tasks service learning volunteers assist with include assisting at our craft tables, preparing crafts, and administrative support. We offer numerous activities throughout the school year for service learning volunteers. Whenever there is a new event, service learning volunteers are contacted by email.
