2012 Boeing Teacher Institute: Exploring California Marine Life

The Aquarium of the Pacific, through a generous grant from The Boeing Company, is proud to offer the 2012 Boeing Teacher Institute. The institute will take place from Monday, August 20th to Friday, August 24th. For this year’s institute, the Aquarium is partnering with COSEE-West and the USC Wrigley Institute. A collaborative and creative group of 35 teachers, representing a variety of experiences, will be invited to this week long intensive introduction to the Aquarium, Southern California’s diverse ecosystems, research being conducted by local scientists, and tools to bring data and current science into the classroom. Each participant will also receive their own aquarium complete with filtration. The program includes a behind-the-scenes look at the Aquarium of the Pacific, three days on Catalina Island, and continuing involvement in an on-line professional development community.

Teachers not selected for the August program will be invited to participate in a teacher focused lecture series hosted by the Aquarium taking place in fall 2012. Thank you for your interest in the 2012 Boeing Teacher Institute!

That usually pops up in the following situations:1) The browser window was left open for a really long time with the form open or 2) you attempted to submit the form but had another error, hit the back button, fixed the error, and tried to submit again. The form needs to be refreshed after an attempt at submitting, otherwise, the server thinks you are trying to spam it.
  • After waiting a long time, it just goes to the homepage
