Five American Avocet Chicks Hatch at the Aquarium

The new baby birds are on view with their parents in the Aquarium’s Guam Kingfisher aviary, located near Shark Lagoon.

Five American avocet chicks hatched at the Aquarium between June 23 and 25. The chicks and their parents are on view in the lower enclosure in the Guam Kingfisher aviary near Shark Lagoon.

Save the Vaquita Day July 6 at the Aquarium of the Pacific

On International Save the Vaquita Day the Aquarium of the Pacific will hold a public event to bring light to the plight of the critically endangered vaquita porpoise.

Found only in the northern part of the Gulf of California, Mexico, the vaquita porpoise is the world’s most endangered marine mammal. Approximately ten vaquitas remain, according to a report by the International Committee for the Recovery of the Vaquita.

Visit 12,000 Animals and Explore the New Pacific Visions Wing at the Aquarium of the Pacific During Discounted Late Nights

Those who visit the Aquarium during Discounted Late Nights this summer will enter for just $19.95 per person after 5:00 p.m.

The entire Aquarium, except Lorikeet Forest, will remain open until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from June 21 to September 1, 2019. Admission after 5:00 p.m. will be $19.95 per person.
