Future of Food Series with Russ Parsons Returns to the Aquarium

Cookbook author and former Los Angeles Times Food Editor Russ Parsons moderates discussions with experts representing different sectors of the American food system.

Join an engaging dialogue between cookbook author and former Los Angeles Times Food Editor Russ Parsons and food and beverage industry experts while enjoying small-bite appetizers and drinks. Guests can partake in food and conversation while enjoying views of Rainbow Harbor from the Aquarium’s rooftop Veranda during the Future of Food series. Tickets include admission to visit the Aquarium prior to the events. Appetizers and drinks will be served at 7:00 p.m.

Industry experts in the Future of Food series include Brian Brown from ONX Winery in Paso Robles, who will also join Parsons for an evening of food paired with wines provided by ONX Winery. Robert Egger, president and founder of L.A. Kitchen, and Arlin Crane, director of food and beverage at Homeboy Industries. They will discuss how culinary training along with supportive programming can provide new hope for reformed gang members, the previously incarcerated, and emancipated foster youth. Parsons will also host Dock to Dish’s Co-Founder and Director of Operations Sarah Rathbone to discuss Dock to Dish and the important role of well-managed local seafood in an environmentally responsible seafood supply.
