Amazing Facts

Research studies done at the Aquarium of the Pacific on the tangerine scent of the Aquarium’s Crested Auklets and their breeding behavior have been reported in the scientific literature.

At the Aquarium

We have 14 Crested Auklets, eight females and six males. There are five monogamous pairs among our Crested Auklets. All were hatched from eggs incubated at the Aquarium in 1998. The aviculturists who take care of our Crested Auklets can tell who's who by feathering, proportions, and especially behaviors.
