Teen Boat Outing
Teens are invited to join us for an exciting morning of activities created just for them.
Member Teen Boat Outing is an exciting hour and a half of fun ocean discovery aboard the 90 foot long ocean vessel Conqueror. Get out on the water and enjoy the sunshine, then see for yourself the incredible creatures living under the water’s surface right here in our harbor! Get your hands slimy by taking part in a sediment grab to bring up a sample of the ocean floor. Then, help perform a plankton haul which, at the end of the trip, will be viewed under a microscope and displayed on video monitors around the boat. To top it all off, we will travel to the outer harbor near the breakwall to retrieve a trap that may contain anything from sharks and rays to crabs and octopuses. Snacks will be provided.
