Sustainable Seafood Day

Healthy Choices for our Bodies and the Ocean

Fish is a healthy food choice for most. But what are the best choices in seafood for us and the environment? If you eat fish and want to be a more informed consumer, you will not want to miss our Sustainable Seafood Day. Learn exactly what sustainable seafood means and gain an understanding of the challenges and successes in the industry’s quest to satisfy our taste for fish and other delicacies of the sea.

This year will feature our partnership with FishWatch, a website that provides the latest facts about the sustainability and health benefits of selected fishery stocks. At this festival, you will be able to watch sustainable seafood cooking demonstrations and purchase sustainable seafood cookbooks in our gift store. Guests will have opportunities to try samples and take home new recipes. Visit booths by educational and sustainable seafood organizations, and discover what makes some fish choices, fishing practices, and farming techniques more healthy for our oceans than others. Sustainable seafood menu items will also be offered in Café Scuba.
