Coffeehouse Poetry Reading: The Sri Lankan Loxodrome

Will Alexander

Join us for a reading from Will Alexander’s newly released poetry collection The Sri Lankan Loxodrome (New Directions, 2009).

Alexander is a Los Angeles poet, novelist, essayist, playwright, and visual artist. His many honors include a PEN Oakland Award, a Whiting Fellowship for Poetry, and a California Arts Council Fellowship. He has taught at various institutions, including Theatre of Hearts/Youth First, which serves at-risk youth. His works include Asia & Haiti (Sun & Moon Press, 1995) and Towards the Primeval Lightning Field (O Books, 1998).

Alexander’s latest book will be available at the gift shop. Presented in a coffeehouse setting, coffee, drinks, and pastries will be available for purchase.
