A Mutiny For the Bounty: Pathways to Healthy Ocean Ecosystems
Explore the changes beneath the ocean’s waves and the current state of our oceans with Dr. Jane Lubchenco at the Aquarium of the Pacific.
Recent scientific research shows we are at risk of losing healthy seafood, clean beaches, and vibrant coastal communities, but these could all be salvaged with greater awareness, increased political will, and effective action. Join Dr. Lubchenco as she draws on current scientific information about changes and options for recovering the bounty of our ocean’s ecosystem.
Dr. Lubchenco is an environmental scientist and marine ecologist who is actively engaged in teaching, research, synthesis, and communication of scientific knowledge. Her Ph.D. is from Harvard University in marine ecology. She was appointed by President Clinton to ten years on the National Science Board and has held a number of prestigious environmental and scientific positions.
