Aquarium Launches Seafood for the Future Program
The Aquarium of the Pacific launched its new Seafood for the Future program on Tuesday, September 22 with a press event featuring its first-ever Top Dish: Sustainable Seafood Competition with chefs from SAVOR…, McKenna’s on the Bay, Renaissance Long Beach, and Walt’s Wharf.

Tiger Shark Moves to New Home
In order to give our tiger shark more space, the Aquarium of the Pacific has transferred her to another AZA-accredited aquarium that has a larger shark exhibit.

Mural Painted by Children with Wyland Now on Display
In April 2009, as part of Wyland’s Clean Water Challenge, Aquarium of the Pacific member children were invited to paint a 20 foot mural with renowned marine-life artist Wyland.

First-Ever Tiger Shark at the Aquarium of the Pacific
July 17, 2009—The Aquarium of the Pacific is excited to have a tiger shark (Galeocerdo cuvier) on display for its first-time ever. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see this amazing five-foot predator. Few aquariums have had tiger sharks, and today only two other aquariums in the U.S. are home to these awesome predators.
