Plans are under way for a fall edition of the Aquarium of the Pacific’s Aquatic Academy series of courses. The Aquarium typically holds two Aquatic Academy sessions each year, providing an opportunity for members of the community to learn more about ocean and environmental issues. This upcoming series will be titled California and the Ocean: Leader and Laggard. Sessions will be held October 18, October 25, November 1, and November 8 in the Aquarium’s SAVOR… Watershed Classroom.

In a series of four evening classes, attendees hear presentations and panel discussions from scientists and other experts, getting in-depth information about pressing environmental topics and the most current data and interpretation from the speakers.

The Aquarium fosters dialogue on complex and pressing issues related to the ocean and environment through its Aquatic Academy. These courses bring together experts in science, business, conservation, policy, and academics to share their knowledge and experiences with attendees.
