Seafood for the Future Launches New Restaurant Program

Seafood for the Future

March 25, 2014

Seafood for the Future (SFF), the Aquarium’s sustainable seafood program, will be launching a new program this summer that will give people the opportunity to dine on responsible seafood and support the Aquarium of the Pacific’s efforts to promote local, sustainable seafood.

SFF is teaming up with its partner restaurants to feature a different item of seafood each month and tell the story behind it. SFF experts will select the featured seafood items, representing responsible choices, and then chefs at the partner restaurants will use their culinary talents to create delectable dishes. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of these dishes will help support SFF’s efforts to promote healthy and responsible seafood choices.

This program will also help expand the public’s knowledge about local, sustainable fisheries, allowing people to learn about and try seafood they may not have tasted before. View SFF’s list of recommended species or try some responsible seafood recipes provided by local fishermen and chefs by visiting seafoodforthefuture.org.
