The acclaimed Long Beach Ballet will reprise its production Guardians at the Aquarium on Saturday, November 16.

Choreographed by Johnny Zhong and directed by David Wilcox, this ballet evokes the tranquility, exotic rhythms, and myriad challenges of life under the sea. It takes the audience on a journey through time starting with the chaotic formation of the universe and Earth through the emergence of man, the domination and degradation of the earth and ocean by the growing human population and its over-consumption, followed by a reawakening of the human spirit, which leads to a strong environmental and ocean ethic. In the triumphant finale, humans embrace their role as Guardians of the planet and live in harmony with Mother Earth’s natural support system that sustains all life.

Tickets are available by calling 562-590-3100, ext. 0. Section 1 tickets are $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Section 2 tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. for general Aquarium viewing and access to seating.
