Find gifts for all your friends and family at the Aquarium this season. Purchasing tickets for Aquarium admission allows your gift recipient to spend a day exploring and learning about the marine life of the Pacific Ocean, enjoying animal shows, touching sharks and other animals, and discovering habitats and creatures they’ve never seen before. To purchase tickets as a gift, call (562) 590-3100.

The gift of Aquarium membership allows your gift recipient to visit throughout the year for free, with no blackout dates. Members also enjoy special discounts and exclusive events, such as previews of new exhibits and members-only late nights. To purchase a gift membership, click here.

Purchase a Behind-the-Scenes Tour for your most curious friends and family members who love to find out how things work. They will get to see how the Aquarium functions from the “wet side.” Guests on this tour, led by an Aquarium educator, can ask questions about animal care, maintaining exhibits, and other aspects of running the Aquarium, from feeding, to surgery, to water filtration. Behind-the-Scenes Tours must be purchased in combination with Aquarium admission. Purchasers will be prompted to select a date and time for the tour. To purchase a tour/admission combo ticket as a gift, click here.

The Aquarium’s Pacific Collections gift store is always a great place to find interesting, educational, and eco-friendly gifts for all ages. From books and toys to home décor items and clothing, Pacific Collections features a wide selection of gifts. Featured items this holiday season include A Sense of Wonder, a high-definition Blu-Ray DVD presenting and close-up journey through the Aquarium’s exhibits; the My Natural Good Earth Mermaid doll, made of all-natural and some recycled materials; a green sea plane toy made in the United States from plastic derived completely from recycled milk jugs; and handmade organic Field Notes soaps featuring animal artwork. To view these items, look at the slideshow of images above. To shop online, click here.

Looking to check a few people off your gift list quickly and easily? Consider adopting an Aquarium animal in their name to provide funds to help feed and care for the Aquarium’s animals. Animals available for adoption include penguins, harbor seals, sea turtles, sea lions, sharks, rays, leafy sea dragons, and sea otters. To adopt an animal, click here.

The Aquarium will also offer Winter Camps this year for children. Sea Squirt Winter Camp, for children ages five and six, will be held December 26 through 28, 2013. Participants will receive an introduction to marine biology by learning about fish, birds, and marine mammals. Winter Day Camp, for children in grades two through four, will be held January 2 through 4. Campers will learn about marine life through hands-on activities, games, and crafts and by studying migrations, cold water habitats, and polar bears. To learn more about Winter Camps, click here.

Finally, celebrate the holiday season with your family by spending an exciting night at the Aquarium during the Winter Family Sleepover on December 29. Explore exhibits on a scavenger hunt, participate in a fish feeding, and enjoy a pizza dinner and cereal breakfast the next morning. To learn more, click here.
