Dr. William Patzert
The "El Nino Expert"
Bill Patzert has a PhD in oceanography and is a research scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab at the California Institute of Technology.
While he is formally addressed as Dr. Patzert, he is often referred to as the "El Nino Expert" who is the prophet of California climate as well as one of the West’s most influential individuals in dealing with water issues. Whatever the weather crisis is, either nationally or locally, you can count on seeing him in a TV newscast. We are fortunate to have this opportunity to talk to Dr. Patzert about his views on California and its climate change.
