For twenty-eight years P. Dee Boersma, Ph.D., has studied the largest Magellanic Penguin colony in the world at Punta Tombo, Argentina. She shares stories of the lives of Magellanic Penguins in the deserts of Patagonia and discusses some of the more impressive penguin facts. Dr. Boersma is the Wadsworth Endowed Chair in Conservation Science in the University of Washington’s department of biology. She was also the honoree at the Aquarium’s 2012 Ocean Conservation Awards event. Dr. Boersma spoke at the Aquarium on June 8, 2012.
