Lecture date: February 20, 2014. Marc Weissburg is a professor of biology at Georgia Tech and co-director of the Center for Biologically Inspired Design.

In his lecture, Weissburg discussed biologically inspired design, or biomimicry, which uses biological processes to fuel innovation and design in engineering solutions for a sustainable future. He studies the ecology and sensory biology of marine organisms and teaches how engineers and other problem solvers can use biological principles as sources of inspiration for solving complex challenges.
