Lecture date: December 8, 2016. Author Daniel Botkin discussed his book, Twenty-Five Myths That Are Destroying the Environment: What Many Environmentalists Believe and Why They Are Wrong.

Botkin is a biologist, writer, and public speaker who works in the areas of conservation, energy production, and computer modeling. He has held faculty positions at the Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies; the University of California, Santa Barbara, Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology; and George Mason University, as director of Program on Global Change; and was a research scientist at Woods Hole Marine Biological Laboratory.
