Lecture date: August 23, 2017. Aquarist Alexandra Lawlor discusses the Aquarium’s abalone conservation efforts, shares photos of the Aquarium’s current brood stock and juveniles, and describes the abalone life cycle.

Lawlor earned a bachelor’s of science degree in marine biology from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island, and a master’s of science degree in oceanography from the University of Southampton in Southampton, England. She has been on staff at the Aquarium since 2015 and is responsible for exhibits in the Southern California/Baja Gallery.
