He led the effort to bid for the 2016 Olympic Games in Los Angeles and now leads the effort to bring the Games to Los Angeles in 2024.

He discussed his new book, The Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games, as well as the innovations at the 1984 Olympics, its financial success, events that occurred in Long Beach, and the legacy of the 1984 Olympic Games.
