Amber Jackson and Emily Callahan recorded this Aquacast at the Aquarium on September 9, 2014.

They discussed how offshore oil rigs serve as habitats for marine life and their work through the Rigs to Reefs initiative. Jackson is an oceanographer, conservation biologist, explorer, and former oceans curator for Google in partnership with the Sylvia Earle Alliance. Callahan is an oceanographer, explorer, and environmental scientist. In 2011 she worked in the Gulf of Mexico under contract with British Petroleum to analyze the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
