Do members receive a discount on parking? What is the cost?
Yes, we offer our members five pre-paid parking vouchers at a discounted rate of $20 (at the regular price, five parking tickets would cost $40). Member parking vouchers are good for one year from the date of purchase.
How can I purchase the member parking vouchers?
Member parking vouchers are available for purchase on site, over the phone, or through the mail. Unfortunately, we do not have an online option to purchase pre-paid parking vouchers.
When will I receive my member parking vouchers?
Member parking vouchers purchased over the phone or through the mail will be mailed to you within two to three weeks of the payment processing date.
How do I use the member parking vouchers?
When you enter the structure you will be issued a white parking ticket from the machine at the entrance. Insert your white parking ticket from the parking structure at the kiosk (located on the first and second floors), and then scan your pre-paid parking voucher (each one has a barcode printed on it). This will validate your white parking ticket. When leaving the parking structure, you will insert your white parking ticket at the gate to exit.
I lost my member parking voucher. Can it be reissued?
No, unfortunately, we are unable to reissue member parking vouchers. The parking structure is owned and operated by an outside company, so the Aquarium has no way of tracking whether or not a parking voucher is used. We recommend treating your member parking vouchers as if they are cash and keeping them in a safe place.
I decided not to purchase member parking vouchers. What should I do?
Please be sure to have your parking validated at the Membership Desk for the discounted $8 Aquarium daily rate.

What if, for every dollar you donated to the
Aquarium, we received two?

Many employers encourage employees to donate providing matching gifts that double or even triple the effect of individual donors.

Not only do these gifts support our programs and help us take care of our animal ambassadors, they are also tax-deductible.

Before you make a contribution to the Aquarium of the Pacific, ask your employer if they have a matching gift program, or click here to check your company’s matching gift policy online. This could potentially double the impact of your individual contribution!

If you have questions about matching gifts, or if you know of a company that would be interested in setting up a matching gift program with the Aquarium of the Pacific please call the Development Office at (562) 951-5341.

Funding from grants and sponsorships make it possible for the Aquarium to provide our community with enriching educational experiences.

Ways to Support Us

Corporate and Foundation Relations

Funding from our corporate and foundation partners provides key support to the Aquarium’s education programs that serve approximately 200,000 students and teachers annually.

Corporate and Foundation Relations

Become a Business Partner

Learn more about ways your corporation can partner with the Aquarium and receive exclusive opportunities for engagement, visibility, and benefits for employees and executives.

Educating the public about science and marine conservation is one of the Aquarium’s main priorities.

The Aquarium provides science and environmental education programming to approximately 200,000 students, teachers, and community members each year. Of these, approximately two-thirds are from underserved schools in the greater Los Angeles area. Specific activities include classroom programs, continuing education and professional development for teachers, student career guidance, offsite instruction, online resources, distance learning, and much more. Students of all backgrounds and circumstances are given access to high-quality, interactive lessons based on the Aquarium’s animals and exhibits - experiences designed to cultivate interest, heighten awareness, promote life-long science learning, and support advancement in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields.

Ocean Science Education Program

The Ocean Science Education Program supports the entire K-12 program at the Aquarium, including more than 40 classroom and auditorium programs. Aquarium lessons are based on California science standards and serve students and teachers from throughout the diverse region of Southern California, and beyond. For classes that cannot attend, the Aquarium on Wheels, our mobile outreach unit, is a viable option as it is equipped with a touch pool and lessons are presented off-site.

Aquarium Scholarship Fund

The Aquarium Scholarship Fund was created to address the needs of Title I schools that are not financially equipped to visit the Aquarium. Regardless of proximity of the Pacific Ocean many students have never actually seen it or experienced any type of marine education. With support from corporate and foundation partners, the Aquarium offers complimentary field trips to students at all grade levels from underserved schools throughout Southern California to participate in engaging, California science standards-aligned classroom and auditorium educational lessons, and explore our exhibits and touch tanks. In addition to the programming, pre- and post-visit materials and guides are provided to the teachers and chaperones in order to maximize the impacts and reinforce lessons.

The Aquarium of the Pacific is much more than an Aquarium. It is a research institution dedicated to the conservation and research of threatened species and habitats.

Led by a strategic plan designed by the Board of Directors and Aquarium staff, the Aquarium is in a unique position to take a leading role in promoting environmental and ocean literacy.

Support current conservation programs today by contributing a tax-deductible gift which will fund…

Where does the money go?

Pacific Circle membership gifts support everything from animal care to world-class learning opportunities. Like a pebble tossed into water, your support creates an impact that ripples throughout the Aquarium and beyond and can be measured locally, regionally, and across the Pacific Ocean. Your gift helps provide the $30,000,000 needed annually to support the Aquarium’s day-to-day operations in maintaining a world-class institution.

Since its founding in 1998, the Aquarium of the Pacific has relied on the generosity of donors like you who understand that educating our community and caring for our environment builds a better future for us all.

We invite you to become a member of the prestigious Pacific Circle, the Aquarium’s leadership gift society. The Pacific Circle offers exclusive opportunities for individuals and companies to support the Aquarium of the Pacific with gifts of $1,500, $2,500, $5,000 or more.

The generous philanthropic support of Pacific Circle members ensures that we can continue to provide innovative educational programming and comprehensive animal care. It also allows the Aquarium to explore new ways to communicate the importance of sustainability and conservation with guests. Trustee of the Pacific and Charter Pacific Circle Member Jeanne Sleeper discusses the importance of the Pacific Circle.
