Science on a Sphere: Using Technology to Tell Ocean Stories

Zoos, aquariums, planetariums, and other institutions now have a tool to help their visitors learn more about our planet and how changes to the environment affect life on Earth. Science on a Sphere (SOS) is a high-tech display system created by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Learn more about the Aquarium’s SOS and the programs and shows that have been created for this system. This issue also includes information on new animals at the Aquarium, including blue-spotted rays and Pacific sardines; a series of evening talks about food sustainability; and opportunities for teenagers to participate in conservation volunteering.
